Since 2008, Chambers Group has been supporting the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works across an array of projects ranging from bridge and road repair/replacement to wetlands delineations and soft bottom flood channel clean outs. All told, Chambers Group has completed more than 200 task orders representing scopes of a few dozen hours to others of thousands upon thousands.

Briefly, Chambers Group has prepared CEQA and NEPA documents for several LACDPW projects, including the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the construction of Chandler Canyon Channel and Debris Basin and the Environmental Assessment (EA) for debris removal from Water Conservation Pool area, Whittier Narrows Dam. In addition to preparing these documents, Chambers Group conducted all the surveys required to address the impacts of the projects. The major issues were water quality, noise, traffic, air quality, biological resources, and cultural resources. Chambers Group assisted the County with the project descriptions and alternatives development for these CEQA and NEPA documents. In addition, staff participated in the public meetings as technical experts for these projects. Chambers Group prepared specialized documents for cultural, paleontological, wetlands, and biological resources that were included as part of the Initial Studies and Environmental Assessments.

While the specific task orders are too numerous to list here, the Chambers Group approach to the LACDPW MSA or any other MSA arrangement is simple: dedicated staff creating constant project availability, responsive service, and reliable pricing. We see MSAs as a good faith effort on the part of the provider to reduce non-project costs, both in terms of time and money. Chambers Group honors that commitment and structures MSA teams accordingly.
